"The Burden" was released today by iHeartPodcasts, the top podcast publisher according to Podtrac, and Orbit Media, the podcast company that Oscar winner Fisher Stevens co-founded. "The Burden," a follow-up to Orbit's original #1 podcast "Empire on Blood," transports listeners into a bizarre world of murder where unvoiced, convicted killers have to overthrow a legendary police officer and upend the entire system in order to be freed.
The podcast's main character, the illustrious detective Louis Scarcella, will reveal his entire life narrative for the first time only in "The Burden." Scarcella was able to solve the most difficult cases, obtain confessions that no one else could, and imprison the worst offenders in the 1990s. He was a supercop, also known as The Hulk. The narrative then took a turn for the worse.
